Mark Pollock
Mark has been a Chartered Accountant since 1978.
He started work in large accountancy firms when he left school and studied and worked towards his qualifications. Mark enjoys spending time getting to know his clients and how their businesses work and how we can best help them achieve their goals from an accounting perspective. Mark is a keen cyclist and loves nothing more than a long ride on a Saturday morning followed by a strong coffee. He also loves spending time with his Grandchildren.

Jerry Shen
Jerry is a Chartered Accountant with over ten years of’ public practice experience. He believes in investing in relationships and personally supporting clients with pragmatic, customised and efficient service. Jerry helps position his clients’ businesses for growth, prosperity and their life-style. He provides proactive advice on tax defensive structures and has a particular passion for estate planning, business succession and business restructures. Jerry has worked with a wide range of industries including property developers, trade, transportation, agribusiness and food services. Jerry also personally runs a food truck business Total Satays-Faction so he fully understands the stress and challenges that a small business owner is facing. Jerry is an active person, loves running and cycling. He watches lots of Grand Design & Top Gear and wishes one day he can build his own street-legal Go-Kart in his own workshop.
Edward Kang
Edward is a qualified accountant and joined our firm in 2016. He specialises in accounting and taxation services to a range of small to medium-sized businesses including companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders operating in a wide range of industries. He enjoys working with his clients to help them in building their businesses, managing their taxation obligations, and maximising business profits. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family and friends outdoors. He is also a big fan of soccer and golf.
Adrienne Pollock
Adrienne has had over 20 Years working in our Accounting Business starting off with Administration and Reception Duties. Moving on to do her MYOB Bookkeeping Certificates and Studying Accounting at University. Adrienne or Adi as many of our Clients know her, likes to help her clients get their MYOB or Accounting Software working best for their business and help them get the most out of their software. Adrienne has a passion for Accounting and loves helping her clients manage their Compliance and day to day needs so they are not stressful. She also has a great deal of experience in Self Managed Super Fund Administration. Adi has two young children and spending time with them and her husband is one of her favourite things to do. She also loves swimming and going to the beach and a nice long walk (when time permits)
Peta Pollock
Peta is our Office Manager. When not helping out Adrienne and looking after her beautiful Grandchildren she is helping manage the accounts and the behind the scenes of our Practice.
Cathy Snow
Cathy is our Part-Time front of house specialist. She is always there to greet you on the phone or in person. Cathy enjoys cooking and walking in her spare time.
Our Story
In 1983 after a number of years working for a variety of Accounting Firms and gaining valuable experience in many areas, Mark decided to go out and work for himself. He started Broad Pollock and Company as a partnership in 1983 in Redcliffe. In 1990 they bought another practice in Chermside in Brisbane and Mark ran the practice from there. In 1999 we moved the Chermside Practice to Bowen Hills as it was a more central location for many of our clients. We have been here for over 20 years now and love the Location as it is close to the city and public transport and has available parking for clients when needed.

We are a small family business, Our daughter Adrienne is becoming more involved in the Day to Day running of the Business and helping us to grow organically. Our aim for our clients and ourselves is to work smarter not harder. We love taking the time to get to know our clients and their businesses and how they like to do things and to work with them to streamline their accounting and compliance procedures. We want to take the stress out of the Accounting side of their Business.
